Welcome to Blackbird Dance Theatre! We are a comprehensive school of dance for children and adults. We are celebrating 10 years of providing the best in a unique, inclusive, creative environment for dance, artistic expression, and exploration in the Central Kentucky Area!

Blackbird Dance Theatre offers the unique opportunity to experience many creative disciplines and dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, and flexibility.
​
Our students also have the opportunity to train not only in dance, but also acting principles, visual arts, music composition, vocal performance, play writing, choreography, directing, costume design, production and scenic design, and stage combat. Our founder and artistic director, Jenny Fitzpatrick, draws upon her deep experience and expertise in dance and theatre to help nurture her students' education, creativity and talent in the classroom, on the stage and in life.

Since its inception in 2013, Blackbird has produced over 22 dance theatre productions and 5 musicals/musical reviews. Watch highlights from these performances here.
